The Red Sea has ideal conditions for the coral reefs to grow and flourish as they are situated in warm water and deep enough to eliminate the influence of the waves. As there are not any river mouths emptying into the area, the water is exceptionally clear and this allows the sun's rays to reach to a great depth. The Red Sea reefs are much deeper than in many other places.
